How to use SOOMUS? Check below step by step.

How to Import PPT

Being a versatile application specifically developed for video conferencing and screen sharing, SOOMUS allows you to import MS PowerPoint presentations right from the launching window itself, or when you are in the editing mode. The process is simple and is given below:

Step 1: Obtain and Launch SOOMUS

On a Windows computer, launch your favorite web browser, go to the link to download SOOMUS, and once downloaded, use the regular method to install the app.

Note: At the time of this writing, SOOMUS is available only for the Windows platform. However, the Mac version of the software is in the pipeline, and is expected to be rolled out in the market for the masses pretty soon.

Once installed, double-click the shortcut icon of SOOMUS from the desktop, and allow (or disallow) the firewall exclusions if/when the alert box appears before SOOMUS starts.

Note: Adding firewall exclusions is a one-time process that is to be performed when you launch SOOMUS for the first time after installation.

Step 2: Sign Up or Sign In to SOOMUS

On the main interface, open the Options menu by clicking its icon from the top-left corner, and click Log In from the bottom of the menu. On the Log in SOOMUS box, enter your SOOMUS credentials in the available fields, and click Log In to sign in to your SOOMUS account. Alternatively, you can sign in to SOOMUS with your Google or Facebook account by clicking their corresponding icons from the lower section of the box.

Note: If you don’t have a SOOMUS ID, you can click the Create an account link, follow the instructions from there to create an account for yourself, get back to this Log in SOOMUS box, and then sign in to the app.

Step 3: Import PPT

Back on the main interface, click Import PowerPoint from the lower section, and locate and import a PowerPoint presentation with *.ppt extension to SOOMUS.

Step 4: Import PPT Within the Editing Mode (Alternate Method)

Click Add from the top of the pane on the right, and click PPT from under the Add visuals section to import a PowerPoint presentation. Once done, you can click Start Now from the bottom to start a meeting or record a new video.
